The Daily Wire: More Brands Getting Political

James Barrett, a reporter for The Daily Wire, highlighted a trend that’s becoming all too familiar in the tech world these days. He writes, “Several high-profile startups have decided to go all in on the politics, and, unsurprisingly, they all seem to be leaning one direction.”

As examples, Barrett mentions three companies that he says “are enthusiastically driving a wedge between themselves and roughly half of their potential clients”:

Airbnb – 1.3
Google – 1
Lyft – 1
LinkedIn – 2.1

What ties these three companies together, and many others in the tech industry for that matter, is how they have intentionally aligned with liberal protest movements, especially in regard to the Trump administration’s immigration orders.

Of course, our research shows how these companies have a history of supporting liberal activity on nearly ALL of the issues.

Disgusting. I do not understand why these businesses lean left. In general, Democrats and leftists do not support business. Republicans, conservatives, and libertarians do. Very puzzling.

    • We The People

      I was thinking that also.

CHEAP LABOR. Their grave concern is for the disgusting foreign worker programs that lock in foreign workers for 3 to 5 year with no worry of them leaving or asking for higher wages. Also foreign workers are more docile, easier to bully & more compliant, no thinking outside of the box or challenging authority. These GREEDY PIGS LOVE IT!! They could CARE LESS about “immigrants”, which Trump has not said or done anything against immigrants but ILLEGAL immigrants which these rich, privileged scum also like have around to do the dirty work WE, the working, taxpaying middle class, do for ourselves.

      • HadEnough

I agree with you. It is the only thing that makes sense. It also explains why 31 Senators, 21 of whom are Republican, want more HB-2 visas. Cheap labor. Companies and many politicians are so corrupt on this matter. The dirty side of all of it?–The illegal immigrants are exploited terribly.

Doing Jobs Americans Won’t Do. BS. Giving our jobs away.

That’s been the traditional norm. But to understand how this has changed, you must understand the ideology of cultural marxism. And how this has permeated the media, academia, the entertainment industry and yes, business. Its adherents have ensconced themselves into these institutions over a number of decades, and now that they have attained a sufficient level of influence, are consequently more aggressive in their goal of transforming society, and undermining family and Christian values.

Thus we have all the various leftist movements pushing their agendas like climate change, evolution, mass immigration, sodomy, transgenderism, same-sex “marriage” and more. It’s a form of insidious creeping communism. We have to be aware of what is happening and fight against it, or we will not be the same country we have been for the last 300 + years. We will end up in a dystopian society that has expunged God and morality from the national consciousness. Look to other nations that have fallen to this, to see the inevitable results.

May take a few more decades of seasoning before their worldview matures. Some talents outsource better than others.

Would someone explain what the scores mean? I’ve looked through the article and the company scores page, but I can’t seem to find any explanation. What is the range of scores (0 – 3? 0 – 10?) and what do the numbers represent — does a low number indicate that the company supports liberal causes and a high number indicates support for conservative causes?

      Learn How We Score

1: The score of 1 indicates direct donations or direct support to a liberal group, cause, organization, or non-profit.

2: The score of 2 indicates indirect donations or indirect support to a liberal group, cause or organization or non-profit. For example: When a company contributes to a United Way chapter that funds Planned Parenthood.

3: The score of 3 indicates neutrality on
an issue. Either a company has no record of supporting or not
supporting any issue or the company has given to equally between liberal
and conservative groups, causes, organizations and non-profits.

4: The score of 4 indicates indirect donations or support to a conservative group, cause, organization or non-profit.

      5. The score of 5 indicates direct donations or supports to a conservative group, cause, organization or non-profit.

Don’t lose heart. I recently saw a bona fide liberal with whom I have had some political discussions, and she could not wait to tell me she was no longer a liberal, and had voted for Trump.

    • We The People

I converted my friend, a two-time obama voter, into a Trump voter. My sister, no. That didn’t work at all. Eats fast food, drinks diet soda, goes whichever way the wind blows. She wanted socialist bernie.

Keep in mind that these businesses are donating to HATE GROUPS & LEFT WING DOMESTIC TERRORISTS. These groups RIOT, VANDALIZE, ISSUE DEATH THREATS against the president, & anyone else who dares disagree with them, SAVAGELY BEAT INNOCENT PEOPLE & have COMMITTED MURDER, black LIES matter followers. This isn’t a game, REAL PEOPLE, REAL BUSINESSES are having their lives endangered & destroyed because of these LEFTIST TERRORISTS. They should be arrested for giving money to terrorists. Then again our government has been doing it for 50 years so I guess it is no longer a crime.
